Microsoft Windows Needs A Registry Cleaner

August 3rd, 2009 by admin | Filed in Registry Software

You have heard that a registry cleaner will help your computer but is the registry cleaner Microsoft friendly? A registry is a database that holds all settings necessary to run the operating system. Over time and the many programs and tasks that run on a computer and that stuff leave a lot of junk behind. A registry cleaner is a software utility that is designed to clean out the junk.

A registry cleaner, if not used properly, can cause a computer a lot of problems. Actually a registry cleaner can make a computer inoperable if it is not run the right way. There are things to do or remember to help ensure that a registry cleaner will be a benefit to you. If a registry cleaner is utilized properly it can speed up the performance of your computer.

Whatever you do before you change any of your settings or any programs, you should back up your registry and create a recovery disk. This is something that you should do before you make any big changes to your computer. If you do not and something goes wrong, it could end up being a costly mistake.

Once you have preserved your registry, you need to close any applications that you have running. As an application or program runs it is constantly writing to the registry and will not want any changes to be made to the registry as you are cleaning it. Open the task manager to see if there are any hidden applications that are running. And do not forget “the stuff” in the lower right hand corner; they need to be closed, too.

When the registry cleaner is running, leave the computer alone. Do not move the mouse or play solitaire. Just go and wash the car or go watch TV because you do not anything running. Nor do you want to accidently start a program while running the registry cleaner. So, avoid the temptation and walk away.

If this is your first time running something like, then when the program is finished, you probably have quite the list of errors that listed in your registry. Do not select the option to automatically clean every error. The option that you really want is to have the program fix the registry entries that are the safest to fix.

So is a registry cleaner Microsoft friendly? It is if you know how to proper run the program and not turn your computer into an expensive paperweight. The Windows operating system does need to be cleaned out and refined, if you want to run your computer at a reasonable speed, so do not be afraid to use a registry cleaner, just be cautious.
