Simply Running A Defrag Operation Could Cause Minor Damage To The Registry

August 8th, 2009 by admin | Filed in Windows Operating System

Some of the smallest things can cause problems on a person’s computer, like simply running a defrag program.  When you defrag your computer all the information is gathered up and rearranged on your hard drive.  Normally everything goes smoothly and your computer’s hard drive ends up working better, but there are times when something goes wrong and you need to figure out how to fix it.

In many cases fixing this issue can be as easy as running a trusted registry cleaning application.  Namely because most good registry cleaning programs will look at the programs listed in your registry and compare them to the ones you have installed.  If the software cannot find the program then it will usually come up with options for the user or it will automatically fix it.

When you defrag your computer all the moved programs might not be were the registry thinks they are, meaning that you need to go in and fix the problems manually or get a program that will do it for you.  Fixing these problems manually is not hard for highly experienced users, but those that do not have the time to learn everything they can about their computers, might not be able to spend hours, or sometimes longer, to figure out what it takes to fix registry issues.

Why fight fixing registry problems manually anyway?  Even many computer experts do not take the time to fix their registry problems manually, not when there are so many great programs that simplify the process and limit the risk of accidently causing further damage.

It cannot be made clearer; the registry on a computer is one of the most important things to maintain.  If your computer’s registry is not working properly it can cause many of the programs you rely on to stop working.  A bad registry can also cause damage to the processor if the computer gets caught in a data loop.

Do not risk it.  If your computer seems to be running slower than usual or you are getting error message after error message, it might be time to fix the registry.  Remember it is not just a simple defrag that can cause damage to the registry; there are also hundreds of other things that can cause damage.  Do not contend with these issues until you computer is nonoperational, fix them quickly and easily by installing a good registry program that will correct the problems and optimize your PC.

Optimize-Your-PC can help you, with its advanced registry cleaning technology; it will scan, diagnose and fix all erroneous defrag errors in the registry entries, leaving you with nothing but a highly-optimized PC.
