Many people are having issues with their computers running slowly, their computers freezing and also shutting down expectantly. While sometimes these issues can be caused from a virus, most of the time is because of spyware and too much on the computer’s registry. This can make your computer not run the right way. If your computer freezes randomly then you need to fix your computer.

Spyware can attack itself to your computer and take information on what websites you are visiting and give them to a website. These websites put spyware or adware onto your computer that track the sites that you visit. Some even track your user names and passwords. You can get this spyware onto your computer by simply downloading a free computer program from the internet or even sometimes by just visiting a website.

If you do not want your information to be illegally removed from your computer then you should get a good spyware removal program. This type of program can help to keep your computer safe. It can also help to keep your private information safe.

If you want to get rid of the spyware that is on your computer then spyware removal software is your best option. You should run the software about every thirty days. When your computer freezes randomly or if it shuts down for no reason then you know it is probably time to run the software.

There maybe a lot of useless entries onto your computer’s registry. This can make your computer run slow or even shut down. If this is becoming a problem on your computer then you need to do something about it.

If you need to get spyware software for your computer then go on the internet and do a search. There are even many sites that offer the software for free. Keep your computer running correctly by taking care of it properly.

The key is to know what you’re installing on your computer and have safe browsing habits.

A free registry repair tool is capable of scanning your Windows registry, finding problems and fixing them, all for free. Because the registry is complex and system critical to the operation of your computer, you might opt to purchase high quality registry software. But there are free programs available that can greatly improve your registry and the speed of your computer.

By downloading a free registry repair tool, you can scan your registry for any files that could be causing problems and that could be slowing down the operations of your computer. The software will scan for things like:

Invalid paths–you’ve deleted or moved a program, but the old path to it is still in the registry

Old software data could be left over from other programs that you no longer are using

Old copies of applications on your start menu

Information on programs that used to be installed on your computer, but are not currently installed

Old file extensions that you are not using

Old fonts that you’ve deleted

Files that were created from older programs, or programs that you do not have installed

Invalid file types or invalid files that could be in your registry

Adware that uses the registry

Spyware that uses the registry

Viruses that are on your computer

All old and used files in your registry will be removed, which will greatly reduce the size of the disk space of your computer memory that it takes up. In a few hours of using your computer, it can send information to the registry hundreds or thousands of times. It is no wonder that it gets clogged full of unwanted files, and filled with errors. It can not only slow down your computer, but also cause some programs to not work.

The registry cleaning software that you can download to your computer, or free registry repair tool, can help to back up your registry and restore it to help prevent any problems, and will get rid of everything in the registry that could be slowing you down.

by Jason Coleman

PC diagnostic tools can help save you from many headaches when you are trying to figure out what is wrong with your computer. But there are some common misconceptions when it comes to using this type of software and what it can do.

Misconception: One program is capable of finding any kind of problem and then fix them.

No single program can diagnose everything that possibly could cause a problem with your computer. This is true also if you have several ongoing problems. If there is a problem in your registry, some kind of disk error, a full hard drive, some type of a virus in your boot sector, and any spyware that slows down your computer, there is not likely to be one program that can fix everything.

What diagnostic tools will do is find the cause of most errors and point the solutions out to you. You might want a separate program for something as complex as the registry, for instance, and an anti-virus/anti-spyware program to keep these problems at bay. Don’t think that one program is the perfect piece of software for every problem.

Misconception: Software can fix every problem that I have on my computer.

Sometimes, there are some types of hard drive errors that slow your computer down and can also interfere with your ability to be able to use certain programs. While it would be nice if one software program could fix hardware problems, these types of problems usually need to be fixed by a professional.

You may have other kinds of hardware issues that were brought to your attention by a kind diagnostic software, such as problems with not having enough RAM to keep your computer running efficiently. These are generally going to have to be fixed by someone who will have to add memory to your computer to fix the problem.

Misconception: Every piece of diagnostic software is safe.

Unfortunately, some software that’s supposed to help you can actually cause problems, as it’s bundled with spyware or may even contain a Trojan that allows someone access to your computer. When it comes to registry software or other pc diagnostic tools, only download those that come highly recommended and have been proven to work.

If you are one of the many people who has wondered at some point, “How to speed up my pc?” these secrets may help you achieve what you need. While you may have heard certain tips many times before like to delete unused files and programs, defragment the disk and drives, and get rid of spyware, you may still be having problems with your computer running slow. But there are others methods of speeding up a pc that are talked about less often but can work for you.

Secret #1: Enable Your Direct Memory Access

Direct Memory Access is something that you have to enable in Windows XP, but should be automatically enabled in Vista. This lets data flow freely between your CD-ROM drive and your computer’s hard drive. If it’s not enabled, your microprocessor has to work to allow this, which slows down your PC.

Follow these steps to enable DMA or make sure it’s enabled in both XP and Vista:

1. Open your Control Panel

2. Choose the System or System Maintenance

3. Select Hardware and then Device Manager

4. Right click every option beneath “IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers” in the list, and check the Advanced or Advanced Settings tab to make sure “Enable DMA” is checked. If it’s not, check it and you may not have to wonder, “How to speed up my pc?” for a while, as this can make a huge difference.

Secret #2: Add RAM

The RAM is your computer’s memory. The more RAM that is on your computer, the more memory that you have and that can mean more space available to allow your computer to run faster. You can purchase RAM and place it in your motherboard yourself, or have a computer shop or professional install it for you.

Secret #3: Clean Up Your Registry

The Windows registry is the brains of your computer. Because it handles so much information, it tends to fill-up with unnecessary bits of data, and is prone to errors. A registry cleaner program that you can download or that is installed on your computer, can help clean it and fix those “How to speed up my pc?” problems.
