You have to extract the update package named “KBArticleNumber.exe” to a destined folder named “Extracted Package” in the C drive. Then you have to type some command at the command prompt and that is KBArticleNumber /X:C:ExtendedPackage.
Then go to the temporary folder which contains the extended files to update the software. You have to define the location the Update.exe file or the Hotfix.exe in that temporary folder. You can detect the Update.exe or Hotfix.exe version by right clicking the file and going “Properties”. Execute the version tab and then note the file version value. In this way you can update windows software. For the office software you will easily find the updated package version in the market. Sometimes Windows wants to update its software automatically then you have to respond the message that it gives to update itself.
