Many people don’t realize that many of their computer problems are a result of registry errors. What happens is, every day computer use begins to create invalid shortcuts, invalid device drivers, shared DLL’s, fragmented files, and more. This results in a slow down in computer performance, windows crashing, programs becoming slow to load and run, and even sometimes the dreaded ‘blue screen of death.’ Assuming these problems are not spyware or virus related, they can likely be resolved by using a registry cleaner to clean and optimize your system.
Ease of Use
The RegCure download file is not very big, so it only takes a few seconds to a few minutes to download (depending on your internet connection). The install was quick as well, and only takes a couple moments to get up and running. The RegCure interface is easy to use and appealing to the eyes. It is intuitive in that it seems to anticipate what the user would be looking for and how it they would navigate to find different sections of the program. Like other registry cleaners, RegCure allows you to download the software for free before having to purchase anything. They let you test it out first by scanning your computer and getting familiar with their program. Then, if you like it you can buy the paid version which is required to repair your windows registry and get your computer running smooth again. Here’s a screenshot of the RegCure program interface:
First, you should know that RegCure is compatible with all major Windows operating systems (including Windows 98, 2000, XP, and Vista). It also performs a full back-up of your registry before cleaning so the process is as safe and easy as possible.

RegCure allows you to scan right when the program opens and for most computers it will only take a few minutes to complete the scan (this, of course, depends on how old your computer is and how much of your C: drive you used). We used RegCure on a one month old Dell laptop computer that had many of it’s owner’s prior computer files transferred over. Roughly a quarter of the 3GB memory is in use and RegCure took less than 5 minutes to scan. It found a whopping 723 errors! We were pretty surprised, considering how new the computer is, which is a great sign of how complete the software is. We did another scan right away to check for consistency and it only shows 721 errors the 2nd time around, which is why we knocked off a half star. Some registry cleaners vary widely in the number of errors they show each time, so this was still very good.
RegCure will scan your system for is free and will remove 2 different categories of errors at no additional charge (Font Entries and File Associations). However, if you want to remove all of the registry errors that have been found, you will need to purchase the full registered version. The full repair only took moments and it made a decent change in the speed. We re-scanned with RegCure and it found no more errors following the repair. In addition, to be very thorough, we scanned with two other registry cleaners and it found no errors either.
RegCure offers support via a comprehensive FAQ/Knowledgebase and a support ticket system. They require that you register for the their support system if you need to submit a ticket and their availability is Monday – Friday 10:00am – 6:00pm EST, for technical support. Because they are not available on weekends (24/7 hrs/days) we docked them a half star.
RegCure is costs only $29.95 but can use their Trial-Pay system for a limited time. This involves completing a trial offer for another company and presents a nice option for customers to get the software free. We preferred to pay instead of jumping through the Trial-pay hoops, and the $29.95 price was very competitive comparing it to other registry cleaners.
We highly recommend you download Regcure and scan your computer for free. This not only tell you what problems may be in your PC registry, but it will also allow you to get familiar with the RegCure interface and determine if the software is to your liking.
